Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC)

The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC) is a not-for-profit trade body for the plumbing and heating industry in England and Wales. We have been around since 1925 and represent large companies working on commercial projects, to sole traders working in domestic properties.

How much will it cost to join?

APHC will offer discounted* membership for first year of APHC licensed membership or Competent Persons Scheme (CPS) membership to installers who are registered on the works Loyalty scheme.

Licensed Membership

From £198.50 + VAT (£238.20 inc) Note: There will be an additional non-refundable application fee. For more information, visit the APHC’s Licensed Membership page here.

Competent Persons Scheme / Microgeneration Scheme

If paying upfront, payment in full: £671.80 including VAT (for the first year only) or, from £28.98 per month: (assessment fee) + £324.00 (application fee) including VAT = a saving of £238.20 (including VAT) (for the first year only). *Discount applied to the first year only, to installers who have not held APHC membership within the previous 12 months. Payment must be in full for the year via Credit/Debit card or cheque.

APHC Online Learning Centre – BRAND NEW for plumbing and heating businesses

At APHC, we’ve invested in a brand new Online Learning Centre enabling you to access bite-size courses that cover key business development areas which we believe are fundamental to running a successful plumbing and heating business. The courses cover the following topics:

Understanding basic contracts
Developing a quality management system
Recruitment and selection of employees
Introduction to business finance

So at just £25.00 + VAT per course if you are an APHC member, or if you are not a member then it will be £35 + VAT, plus you can study at your pace at a time and place to suit you.
